5.5 Tesla Zero-Volatilization Cryogenic Superconducting Magnetic Separator
Introduction:
The cryogenic superconducting magnetic separator uses the characteristic that the electrical resistance of a superconducting coil is zero in cryogenic temperature, and large current passes through the superconducting coil to create super-high background magnetic field. With the help of stainless steel magnetism permeable matrix, using the inducing filed intensity generated on the matrix which is more than twice as the background magnetic field intensity, the weakly magnetic materials in the mineral slurry can be captured. This machine has obvious advantages in separating the weakly magnetic materials from Kaolin, potassium and sodium feldspar, nepheline, silicon carbide and other non-metallic minerals as well as metallic minerals. It can obviously deduce the iron content in the mineral, greatly increase the product grade and comprehensive utilization rate of mineral products.
Working principle:
The magnetic separator uses the characteristics that the superconducting coil resistance is zero in the low temperature (4.2 K), the superconducting coil with heavy current is immersed in liquid helium in order to make the background intensity reach 5.5T. Then the surfaces of magnetic stainless steel matrix in the separation canisters produce the extremely high gradient magnetic field. The separation system includes two separation canisters and three invalid separation canisters. The invalid canisters are to keep the balance with effective separation canisters then make the separation unit is moved with a little outside force.
Technical characteristics:
(1)High intensity magnetic field. The magnetic separator uses the Nb-Ti superconducting material to be the coil. The central magnetic intensity can reach 5.5T.
(2)Big magnetic force. The surface of magnetic matrix can produce strong magnetic force and separate the weakly magnetic Impurities.
(3)Nonvolatile liquid helium. 1.5W/4.2K refrigerator continue to refrigerate and make the little volatile liquid helium become liquid in order to make the liquid helium in the magnet.
(4)Low power consumption. The superconducting magnetic separator use the cryogenic superconducting technology that the electric resistance of the coil can reach zero when it is in the superconducting state, it can save electricity about 90% than the normal conductors.
(5)The magnet has a long service life (above 20 years).
(6)The two canisters work alternately for separation and discharge. It can work continually.
(7)Use the high temperature superconducting current lead, reducing heat loss.
(8)Full computer control, parameter real-time data acquisition. It's good for production control and quality control.
(9)The 15t weight of the whole machine is the 1/6 of the electromagnetic separator in the same efficiency.
