Wet Drum Permanent Magnetic Separator for Iron Ore

Applicable Scope:

CTB (S, N) series wet drum permanent magnetic separator is used for concentration of fine-grained strongly magnetic ore, or removing strongly magnetic materials from non-magnetic minerals. With a deep magnetic field, the machine can make a continuous row of ore feed and discharge. It also has enough working clearance and high processing capabilities. 

The drum can be equipped with three kinds of tanks.

The down current tank (CTS series) is applicable to roughing and cleaning of particles 0~6 mm.
The counter current tank (CTN series) is applicable to roughing and cleaning of particles 0~0.6 mm and the recovery of heavy-medium in coal preparation industry. 
The semi-counter current tank (CTB series) is applicable to roughing and cleaning of particles 0~0.5 mm, especially suitable for the cleaning of particles 0~0.15 mm.

Working Principle:
In operation, the media or mineral slurry continuously feeds into the base tank of the Wet Magnetic Drum Separator. Strongly magnetic materials (e.g., magnetite, ferrosilicon or iron-ore) attract to the surface of the Wet Drum Magnetic Separator, where they are held and moved out of the non-magnetic slurry on the surface of the rotating non-magnetic shell. The captured magnetics are then deposited into a collection area, often with the assistance of flushing water to remove them from the surface of the shell. Non-magnetics flow out of the tank. There are three different models (i.e., designs of tank) to suit specific separation objectives and applications.
